the immediate weekend after christmas was spent up in kl for a relative's wedding. i was invited to help as a back up photographer for the couple's big day, but was pretty uncomfortable and hesitated with the idea initially for the fear of screwing everything up and being slaughtered after that. moreover i wasn't anywhere near being a good photographer, needless to say doing a wedding shoot. but then considering the fact such opportunities don't come often, i made my point of my 'noob-ness' clear and with that well understood, i decided to give it a try.

well, i was glad i did! cause it was just such an enjoyable and fulfilling experience! though the task was exhausting and the weather wasnt any helpful, i fell in love with the job as soon as i began snapping away. what's more, i got to meet
edmund tham, an international award winning wedding photographer who was too on the job, hence being able to gain small doses of tips here and there during the shoot.

here are the some of the shots i managed to capture. i realise they're pretty straight forward shots, so theres much more to learn. possibly, trying out more abstract and creative ones at the next opportunity would sound good. considering its my first go at wedding photography, i was rather pleased with what i've got, though no where worth comparing to the professional ones. haha

perhaps, this might be something i would want to excel and get myself into with a little more cash to spare in the future. lol.

ryan and nicole, thanks so much for believing in me and for the wonderful opportunity. though i'll greatly miss all the chilling out and drinking sessions with you both before tying the knot, i share your joy in this blissful sacrament of love and unity, and i pray that the both of you will have many God-filled and loving years ahead.
